Description
These Humidity and Temperature units come with a female header as a GRGDOx addon option. Simply plug it into the GRGDOx programing header and add some YAML to your GRGDOx ESPHome configuration.
There are two options available, the DHT22 is a single wire type and will run in AUX1 or AUX2 with any GRGDOx. The AHT20 is an I2C based device with can only run on AUX1 on a v1 or v2 GRGDOx.
AHT20 provide higher accuracy without any YAML calibration, the DHT22 may require some calibration.
The latest GRGDOv3 can support it in either port.
Note: ToF and Ultrasound sensors require AUX1 to have both a Temp and Distance feature use the DHT22 which can run in AUX2.
Important: Homekit Firmware only supports a DHT22.
For configuration details look for the commented YAML entries in the setup guide: GDO Setup Guide

Love this sensor!! I wanted to add a little something extra to my GDO and purchased this to be able to get temperature and humidity in the garage. This plugged easily into the GDO and I was able to easily get the sensor data right into Home Assistant.
