GRVPA1:

This Gelidus Research GRVPA1 Vehicle Parking Assistant provisions:

    • Lightning fast visual parking stall distance stop light indicator
    • Either Stand Alone or ESPHome HA integration operations.
    • Local WEB UI or ESPHome HA configured stop distance up to 2 meters.
    • Bright RED/GREEN stop and approach LEDs.
    • Adjustable swivel mounted ToF distance sensor .
    • With HA integration vehicle stall departure/arrival/parked state is observable.
    • AC or USB power options available.

    • Compact 40 x 80 mm PCB
    • 4 Pin ESP programming header (3.3v) or USB-C
    • ESP32 BLE+WiFi module
    • Flash enable button (power cycle based) on AC powered units
    • Direct USB-C flashing when equipped with USB-C power.

Software:

This Gelidus Research Vehicle Parking Assistant sensor is designed to run on ESPHome frameworks or can be used in a stand alone mode. ESPHome integration with Home Assistant (HA) adds vehicle presence observability and can also detect BLE devices with further configuration. Adding the GRVPA1 to ESPHome and HA is easy using the preinstalled captive portal. Using any tablet or phone that identifies a captive portal you can link up the module without any serial firmware programming hassle’s. Once connected to your WIFI network it’s strait forward with HA integration. You can also use it as is via it’s preinstalled ESPHome WEB UI component. Just connect it to WiFi using the captive portal and setup your advance/stop distance.

Safety:

Never operate a Gelidus Research AC powered sensor board without a protective enclosure, it will expose dangerous potential contact with your AC mains supply.
